Abstract(in English) | Accurate extraction of lung regions from chest X-ray images is an essential process for detecting lesions in lung fields, and is important in the development of computer-aided diagnosis systems for the chest. In this study, we implement lung region extraction methods (U-Net, U-Net++, and Mask R-CNN) from chest CT images using deep learning, and investigate the extraction performance in each lung region. As a result, the extraction performance (Dice index) of the Mask R-CNN method was higher for all lung regions than the other two methods, but there was room for improvement in the extraction of the lower lung regions. |
