A Flooding Realization Method by Dynamic FIB Construction in CCN

Abstract(in English) Content Centric Networking (CCN), which the network identifier is the name of the content, has been proposed. In CCN, a pull-type communication is a principle of the operation. However, since push-type communication is necessary, CCN implements a push-type communication by preparing a packet called ``a pre Interest'' in order to request to send the interest packet for the content. CCNx Sync and Vector Sync exist as methods for sharing contents in CCN, but these methods do not take into account the behavior of sharing contents when FIBs are not constructed in advance. In addition, redundant traffic is generated in the contents dissemination. In this paper, we propose a method of flooding by using the pre interest, to share contents throughout the network under the principle of CCN operation. To realize Flooding, a CCN router dynamically constructs the FIB with reducing redundant communication. We evaluate the proposed method for broadcast delivery of contents by implementing in Cefore and compare the amount of packets with a pull-type content sharing method.
