Abstract(in English) Transcutaneous electrical stimulation at the arm nerve bundles such as the median nerve and ulnar nerve, has been known as a method to reproduce tactile sensation. Since this method does not require direct actuation at the hand, it can induce sensation without interrupting the interaction between the hand and the environment. However, how the characteristics of the sensation change against the stimulus parameters such as waveform and position has not been investigated. In this study, we focused on the frequency and intensity of the evoked sensation, and conducted an experiment to verify the effects of the stimulus waveform and frequency. Results showed that stimulus frequency is an effective parameter to control the frequency of the evoked sensation up to 100 Hz.
