Abstract(in English) | Damaged optic chiasma by pituitary adenoma causes visual field deficits. The surgical extraction of the tumors could recover the visual field loss. Pre-operative diagnosis of visual field might be beneficial for estimation of operation efficacies. Visual field has been exam-ined by Goldmann kinetic perimetry. However the results of the examination basically was drawn on papers in handwriting. Here, we newly developed a quantitative method with image analysis technology for visual field data. Several isopters drawn on the result sheets were automatically detected with the Convex hull algorithm. |
