Abstract(in English) | In recent years, there has been an increase in flood damage caused by localized heavy rainfall, and research on forecasting localized and rapidly changing weather using supercomputers and phased array radar has been actively conducted. However, in order to deploy disaster prevention systems to many organizations such as local governments, low-cost systems that can be operated in various environments are required. In this study, we propose a method for predicting the weather from cloud images captured by a web camera using convolutional LSTM and CNN, and present the prediction results. In the evaluation, we predicted clear, sunny, and cloudy weather up to 15 minutes later using cloud images taken over Hirakata City, Osaka Prefecture, and confirmed that we could predict the weather in the range of 0.68 to 0.84. |
