Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In active listening counseling system that utilizes a virtual agent, it is important to respond sympathetically to the speaker. So far, verval empathy has been examined, but nonverbal empathy has not been considered. In this paper, we confirm the impression that the nonverbal empathic response gives to the speaker through the subject experiment in the dialogue with the active listening counseling system that is synchronized with the speaker’s prosody.
