| Abstract(in English) | In this study, we propose a method to estimate the movement of a white cane used by a visually impaired person from a video. First, we estimate the posture of the white cane user in the video and obtain the posture of the white cane. To obtain the posture of the white cane user, we consider the white cane as a part of the human skeleton and extend the existing posture estimation method. Next, to obtain the motion of the white cane, we calculate the swing angle, the swing frequency, and the positions of the tip of the white cane and the wrist relative to the midline. We tested this method using white cane users' image and video database. |
