| 抄録(和) | わたしたちにとってワーキングメモリとは生活していく上で、なくてはならない重要なはたらきである。従来の研究において、楽器の演奏経験の年数がワーキングメモリのはたらきと関連することが示され、ワーキングメモリ能力は楽器演奏経験によって強化される可能性が示唆されていていたが、これらの関連を取り持つあるいは基礎をなすメカニズムについては解明されておらず、ワーキングメモリ能力に関連する音楽要素については不明であった。本研究では、音楽要素の一つである音楽的スキル（絶対音感、相対音感、視唱）と、ワーキングメモリ能力の関係性について調査を行った。ワーキングメモリの能力はN-back課題により測定した。その結果、一部の音楽的スキルと聴覚的なワーキングメモリの間に有意な正の相関があることが示された。この結果は、特定の音楽的スキルのトレーニングにより効果的にワーキングメモリ能力を向上させることができる可能性を示唆している。 |
| 抄録(英) | For us, working memory is an important function that is indispensable in our daily lives. Previous research has shown that the number of years of experience playing a musical instrument is associated with the function of working memory, suggesting that working memory ability may be enhanced by experience playing a musical instrument. However, the mechanisms underlying or linking these relationships have not been elucidated, and the musical component related to working memory ability has been unknown. In the present study, we investigated the relationship between musical skills (absolute pitch, relative pitch, and sight-singing), one of the musical elements, and working memory ability. Working memory ability was measured by the N-back task. The results showed that there was a significant positive correlation between some musical skills and auditory working memory. This result suggests that training of specific musical skills may effectively improve working memory ability. |
