Magnetic Resonance Wireless Power Transmission with External Q Control by Divided-Capacitance

Abstract(in English) Resonant power transmission circuits can be viewed as an impedance transformer. The transformation ratio varies greatly with the coupling coefficient. As a result, when the coupling coefficient changes, it becomes impossible to maintain the optimum input impedance value in terms of efficiency and power. Therefore, we proposed to control the conversion ratio by varying the external Q with power supply to the divided capacitors. We confirmed this theory by measuring the transmission characteristics around 13.56 MHz with a coil made of aluminum pipes.
