| Abstract(in English) | In state machine diagram education, learners sometimes make errors when solving modeling tasks. Educators should support learners to resolve their errors, but there is still no method to accurately identify learners struggling to resolve their errors. In this study, we defined a leaner error as "a state in which a leaner-created model is not getting closer to the solution example" and investigated the behavioral characteristics of the learners making errors from both eye information and editing logs. As the result of the investigation, we found that the learners’ editing logs can suggest learner errors roughly, and learners in error moved their eyes back and forth many times between the editing diagram element and the corresponding requirement text. When we estimated learner errors based on such characteristics of the eye information and editing logs, we found that such estimation can detect learner errors more accurate than existing methods. |
