Abstract(in English) | Pear cultivation needs artificial pollination which is a heavy burden for farmers, because plenty of flowers bloom simultaneously. Therefore, to reduce the burden, we aim to develop a system that can perform pollination work on behalf of humans, in which one of the important factors is to identify the flowers to be pollinated. In this study, we propose a method to estimate the 3-dimensional (3D) location of a flower in a monocular camera image by using a distance function. As a result of indoor experiments, the accuracy of 3D location estimation has been improved by 11.42 % by the proposed method with the distance function compared with the method without the distance function. |
