Abstract(in Japanese) | (See Japanese page) |
Abstract(in English) | In our research of a microwave snow melting system, the system is composed of a circuit-shaped waveguide, and an electromagnetic wave propagates in the waveguide. An electromagnetic wave propagates in a conventional circuit-shaped right-handed waveguide with some radiating slots, a traveling wave, a reflection wave, and a wave that has orbited the waveguide interfere with each other, then a standing wave is generated. A length overall of the waveguide becomes much longer, so some feeding points are required. The feeding points affect the standing wave. The standing wave generates large differences of radiating power in the radiating slots. Our research group proposes a waveguide with a composite right/left-handed metamaterial for a snow melting system. In this paper, a waveguide operating by a zeroth-order resonance mode or a quasi-zeroth-order resonance mode is discussed. Some radiation characteristics corresponding to some feeding positions are investigated. |
