A Novel Scheduling Method for Wireless Powered Communication Networks and its Performance Analysis

Abstract(in English) Recently, Wireless Powered Communication Networks (WPCNs), which integrate Wireless Information Transfer (WIT) and Wireless Energy Transfer (WET), have been researched actively. For enhancing in system performance, it is necessary to design an appropriate scheduling method that enables to provide a suitable balance for WET and WIT in the network. This paper proposes a novel scheduling method for WPCNs. In the proposed scheduling, Hybrid Access Point (HAP) performs WET with a constant time interval, and stations communicate with the HAP in distributed manner. Enhancing the performance of the proposed scheduling requires deriving an appropriate time interval for WET at the HAP. Therefore, this paper derives the appreciate time interval from the analytical model, based on energy queueing model taking into account the proposed scheduling characteristics. The effectiveness of the proposed scheduling is demonstrated in the calculated results through theoretical analysis and computer simulation.
