Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) LoRa, one type of LPWA, uses ALOHA for the MAC layer protocol, which causes an increase in packet collisions due to overlapping of intermittent communication as the number of sensors increases. We have proposed a method of dynamically smoothing the traffic to shift transmission timing of each sensor by controlling the transmission delay via ACK responses, but this method has been evaluated only by simulation. In this paper, we evaluate the effectiveness of the proposed method with actual devices. The evaluation experiments show that the proposed method can improve the packet delivery rate by up to 92 % when each sensor is activated simultaneously, and by up to 35 % when each sensor is activated randomly, and can increase the number of devices in the bandwidth.
