Support System for Learning Permutations and Combinations by Visualizing Problem-Solving Process

Abstract(in English) It is important for students to understand the relationship between each quantity in written problems of the Permutations and Combinations. For this purpose, the relationship between quantities is often illustrated. However, when learners formulate incorrectly, it is not possible to visualize how the learners’ formulations are incorrect. Therefore, we developed a system to visualize the learner's wrong answer. For this purpose, we studied the structure for visualizing each quantity and quantity relationship in the problem. As a result of evaluation experiments, we found that the visualization system worked effectively and that learning effects could be obtained.
