Design of RMTvisor Hypervisor for RMT Processor

Abstract(in English) In recent years, the use of virtualization with Hypervisor for embedded systems has been attracting attention. Embedded virtualization can run multiple operating systems simultaneously and contribute to the construction of secure sys- tems. In this paper, we propose RMTvisor, a hypervisor for Responsive MultiThreaded Processor (RMTP), a prioritized SMT processor for distributed embedded real-time systems. RMTvisor can create an arbitrary number of VMs, and can allocate arbitrary resources and add priorities to VMs in real-time. Through evaluation, we confirmed that RMTvisor can allocate computational resources by adding arbitrary resource allocation and priority to VMs, while keeping the overhead to about 22% of that of a single guest OS.
