A Media Access Control Based on SP-MAC Considering Range of Synchronization in Wireless Multi-hop Environment

Abstract(in English) In recent years, the applications for collecting information in the event of an emergency disaster using wireless multihop communication has been developed. However, the multihop communication decreases the communication quality due to increase of frame collisions when many terminals exist. Here, in order to improve throughput by avoiding data frame collisions, a media access conrtol method based on synchronization phenomena of coupled oscillators (SP-MAC) has been proposed. However, SP-MAC does not support multihop communication. Therefore, this paper proposes an access control considering range of synchronization that can be applied to multihop and evaluates the performance. From simulation results, the proposed method avoids packet collisions in a close terminal environment. Furthermore, the proposed method can obtain total throughput higher than existing methods.
