Abstract(in English) Conventional mobile services of 3G and 4G have become widespread in our lifecycle, and expectations for a better quality of through/latency experience are being placed to 5G era. In recent two years, 5G pilot services are launched to deal with the drastic increase in the number of mobile devices and application types. However, since 5G adopts a higher frequency than conventional mobile services, base stations need to be densified. So virtualization resources for softwarelization in various technologies (e.g., vRAN (Virtualized Radio Access Network), vCore, vApps) are more appreciated. In this research, we focus on edge computing, which is one of the cores of Beyond 5G, to utilize the virtualization resources. With Edge Computing, it is possible to obtain traffic reduction, low latency, and high security for mobile networks. Various studies were made based only on numerical analysis or parts of the trial of the experiment due to lack of technical preparation for end-to-end (E2E) environments (e.g., devices, RAN, Core, Applications) w/ software/hardware flexibility. To evaluate the performance of the virtualized network more completely and precisely, we developed 5G vRAN, Edge Cloud w/ virtualization platform, and demonstrated E2E connectivity in Ookayama Campus of Tokyo Institute of Technology, Japan. In addition, focusing on the effective use of resources in Edge Cloud, as an advantage of edge computing, we proposed function architecture deployment of RAN in resource sharing in several Edge Cloud. Finally, we reported on the proposed architecture measurement results.
