Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) By using 3D printers, we developed anatomy models, eight joint models and twelve tongue models for acupuncture and massage training courses at schools for the blind. The evaluation of these models by an acupuncture and massage teacher showed that the shape of models were expressed simply, and the size was suitable for touching. However, there were some remarks that some joint model’s movement, the tongue model’s rough surface and softness were not expressed. Thus, we improved models by expressing the shape of joint models suitably, adding tiny hemispheres on the surface of tongue models, and using soft materials. The improved models were evaluated by six teachers at a school for the blind, and the models were highly evaluated in terms of size, shape, movement, range of motion, weight, and texture.
