Abstract(in English) | As conventional physical layer security schemes for wireless communications, artificial noise (AN) and artificial fast fading (AFF) suffer from significant increase in the transmit power. To drastically reduce the amount of the transmit power, the random phase (RP) has been proposed. RP randomly sets the phase of each transmitted signal, and controls the amplitude using channel state information (CSI), so that it can minimize the transmit power under the constraint that the legitimate receiver should correctly receive the desired signal. Due to the channel reciprocity of the time division duplex (TDD), the RP transmitter can estimate the CSI of the downlink, which should be equal to that of the uplink. When the channel is time variant, however, a large difference between the estimated and true values of CSI at the transmission timing can deteriorate the transmission performance of the legitimate receiver. To alleviate the degradation, this report firstly introduces channel prediction schemes into the RP transmitter. Furthermore, RP is extended from MISO (Multiple-Input Single-Output) to MIMO (Multiple-Input Multiple-Output), whereas both compensation techniques for the channel prediction error and receive diversity combining are employed by the legitimate receiver. Computer simulations demonstrate that the channel prediction by the transmitter and the compensation for the channel prediction error on the receiver side can improve the average block error rate (BLER) performance more significantly than the conventional RP. |
