Online/Offline Accountable-Subgroup Multi-signature

Abstract(in English) Accountable Subgroup Multisignature (ASM) enables any subgroup of signers from a group to produce a multi-signature for a message on behalf of the group. In particular, the subgroup of signers is held accountable for the signed message. Recently, Boneh et al. proposed a compact AMS scheme from BLS signatures ensuring signature compression and public-key aggregation. In this work, we introduce a new ASM scheme that supports the online/offline signing process. Our scheme is based on Boneh et al.'s ASM scheme and the standard discrete-logarithm chameleon hash functions. We allow signature compression and public-key aggregation to be performed offline. Online signing only requires a signer from the group to perform a collision-finding process when a real message is available without modifying the compressed signature.
