A Survey of Current Services of Braille Libraries

Abstract(in English) Braille libraries offer information to the people with visually impaired. But it was differences between current services and descriptions which are defined by the article 34 of the Act for the Welfare of Persons with Physical Disabilities. Therefore, we surveyed the services of the Web pages of the braille libraries and separated them to the groups by the descriptions from the article 31 to 34 of the Act. In addition, each interview was conducted at the three braille libraries. The results expressed that the number of the libraries of services concerned article 31 of the act is 45(63.38%), the number of article 34 is 71(100.00%) and the number of the other services is 54(76.06%). And some braille libraries collaborated the public libraries.
