Abstract(in English) | We have been developing and providing a video transmission service for real-time contributing video and audio of live events by utilizing our high quality, high reliability and wide coverage infrastructure as a telecommunication carrier. This service not only fulfills the essential requirements for real-time video transmission, which include hitless and low latency, but also has flexibility to manage customer-oriented configurations and agility to build maintenance operation system depending on a importance of event. For instance, it was provided in a international event attracting worldwide attention. However, the recent spread outbreak of COVID-19 has forced major changes such as long-term postponement and venue changes. Even in development unexpected issues that cannot be solved by conventional development schemes have happened so far. It was difficult to come to the office, making it difficult to verify using actual equipment and communicate with customers. This paper introduces our attempts and results 1) how to build a new development and operation system and running them complying with "DevOps" frameworks in a new era with infection countermeasure, 2) how to discover customer's insight/pain points and operator's potential needs by "Design thinking" method. |
