Edge cloud cooperation system for anomaly detection using image data

Abstract(in English) In the field of IoT, which is becoming more widespread, it is expected that useful information extraction from image data acquired by IoT devices will be important. On the other hand, real-time processing in the cloud may become difficult due to the increase in traffic due to the progress of IoT and the limitation of physical distance.Therefore, assuming an anomaly detection system for power equipment as an example, an ensemble learning is performed on the cloud server while the anomaly detection is performed on the edge server. We propose such an edge-cloud cooperation system, and then conduct the simulation to evaluate the effect of reducing the processing time and the amount of transferred data.Through the simulation, we analyzed and discussed the effectiveness of the proposed system configuration.
