Abstract(in English) | The application of in-band full-duplex (IBFD) to cellular systems (i.e., full-duplex cellular: FDC) is one of the candidate technologies to improve spectral efficiency for the 6th generation mobile communication system (6G). Many studies have been reported on the cancelling of self-interference (SI), which is a big problem for realizing IBFD. However, there are no reports on the demonstration of 5G-based FDC systems toward 6G by prototype. In this report, we developed a physical layer radio communication prototype toward 5G-based FDC system using software-defined radio (SDR). The prototype is configured to allow the evaluation of various SI canceller. In addition, a digital SI cancellation method considering 5G signal structure proposed by the authors is implemented in the developed prototype. We carried out a fundamental evaluation on the uplink communication characteristics of the FDC system with 5G signals when the proposed IBFD is applied, and verified its feasibility of IBFD in 5G system. |
