Abstract(in English) | In the imaging system for iris recognition, it is necessary to crop the right eye and the left eye for input to the iris recognition system from the partial face image including both eyes captured at high frame rate and high resolution. In this paper, we propose a fast eye detection method based on Fully-Convolutional Siamese Networks, which is a fast tracking method. The proposed method extracts features from an average image of one eye and a partial image of the face to be detected using a CNN framework, and generates a heatmap by calculating the spatial cosine similarity between the features. By applying a loss function using CosFace during training, we were able to distinguish the right eye from the left eye with high accuracy even in a light network. Experiment show that our method is faster and more accurate than conventional detection methods. |
