Abstract(in Japanese) | (See Japanese page) |
Abstract(in English) | Harrison et al.(2016) reported a global rotational illusion induced by vertically or horizontally drifting Gabor stimuli that formed outline of square. Using grating stimuli with (i.e., Gabor stimuli) or without Gaussian filter as adaptation stimulus, the present study examined duration of motion aftereffect (Experiment 1). We also examined appearance of motion direction to the adaptation stimuli (Experiment 2). Results showed that the participants perceived rotational motion aftereffect after the adaptation to the stimuli with or without Gaussian filter and the duration was not different between the two filter conditions (Experiment 1). On the other hand, the participants perceived rotational motion to the stimuli with Gaussian filter more coherently than to those without Gaussian filter. |
