| Abstract(in English) | In this presentation, we report the factors and their interaction of the reverse tilt illusion, in which the whole row of line segments is perceived to tilt in the opposite direction to the tilt of the staircase when the luminance contrast of each line segment is inverted (white or black) against the gray background. As a result of measuring the perceptual tilt by matching, the staircase illusion and the inverse tilt illusion were switched depending on various parameters such as the thickness and length of the line segments, the height of the staircase, and the size on the retina, and the amount of the illusion changed. In the measured range, the reverse tilt illusion caused a relatively large tilt illusion of 1.57 degrees at maximum. The similarities and differences with other geometrical illusions is discussed. |
