Abstract(in English) | Dependences of arc length just before extinction L and contact gap at arc extinction d on contact opening speed v are studied for break arcs generated in a 48VDC resistive circuit and blown-out by transverse magnetic field. Circuit current when electrical contacts were closed I0 was changed from 50A to 300A. The opening speed v is varied over a wide range from 0.05 to 0.5m/s. Magnetic flux density Bx were changed to 5 to 100mT. Following results were obtained. For each I0 and v, The L decreased with increasing the Bx. For each Bx, The L was almost constant with increasing the v for each current I0 when the I0 was lower than 200A. However, the L became shorter when the v was 0.5m/s at I0=200A and 300A.When v=0.5m/s, For each Bx, the L tended to increase with increasing the I0. However, the L was almost constant when the Bx was 50mT and 100mT at I0=200A and 300A. For each I0 and v, The d decreased with increasing the Bx. For each Bx, The d was almost constant with increasing the v when the I0 was lower than 200A.When I0=200A and 300A, the d tended to become longer when the v was slower. When v=0.5m/s, For each Bx, the d tended to increase with increasing the I0. However, the d was almost constant at I0=50A and 100A. |
