Structural analysis and fabrication of microfibers for load measurement

Abstract(in English) We investigate load measurement using microfiber. We numerically analyzed the transmission loss characteristics of the microfiber covered with elastic material using the beam propagation method (BPM). As a result, it was confirmed that the load can be measured. In addition, we experimentally fabricated microfiber using hater. The transmission loss was measured for each load. The experimental results have good agreement with the analysis ones.
