Abstract(in English) | Recently, the movement to link satellite communication systems with 5G networks has been accelerated worldwide, which will increase and diversify the traffic requirements to satellite communication systems in the near future. For satellite communication systems, which are expected to be connected to 5G networks, it is important to be able to improve the flexibility to control communication resources according to geographically and temporally changing traffic requirements. Therefore, applying traffic demand prediction using artificial intelligence technology for resource control in satellite communication systems leads to efficient resource allocation according to the time variation of traffic requirements. For this, it is effective to construct a dynamic scheduling scheme in which the functions of traffic demand prediction and resource control are coordinated with each other, by considering the delay of satellite links and the constraints on the time interval for resource control switching. In this study, we propose a dynamic scheduling scheme for resource control based on traffic demand prediction using artificial intelligence technology to reduce resource wastage in satellite communication systems. We evaluated the effectiveness of our scheduling scheme by comparing it with the periodic executions of resource control through a simulation analysis. |
