Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Conventional Computer Based Testing (CBT) systems mainly support multiple-choice and short-answer questions inputted with keyboard and mouse so that many questions on mathematical expressions have been substituted by other question types. On the other hand, computer recognition of handwritten mathematic expressions has been more practical with the recent improvement of its accuracy. Therefore, we designed and implemented a handwritten input CBT system using Moodle, an online Learning Management System (LMS) which has been used in many educational institutions. In this paper, we report on the concept, the design, and the functions of the handwritten CBT system.
