LiON: A L3 Protocol Agnostic Experimental Network Construction Tool Considering Disaggregation of Network/Device Configurations

Abstract(in English) An experimental network environment is required to examin new network systems. This paper proposes an exper-imental network construction tool called LiON (Lightweight On-demand Networking) considering the separation of networkconfigurations and device configurations. LiON defines two YANG (Yet Another Next Generation) models which disaggregatenetwork configuration and device configuration. The experimenter can write configuration file easily because the configuraionfile follows the YANG model considering network configuration. LiON can help the experimenter automate their experimentsby building management network separated from the virtual network. The time for constructing and deleting a virtual networkslightly increases as the number of Agents increases. The time for constructing and deleting a virtual network increases as thenumber of vNodes increases.
