Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Active listening indicates a counseling attitude through positive acceptance and empathy. This study proposed the active listening agent, which notifies such internal state, using Artificial Subtle Expression (ASE) based on versatility and easy introducing. ASE is a method to notify an agent’s internal state by a simple expression, such as beep sound and light blinking. We designed the notification method of which a LED light blinks in synchronization with fundamental frequency of speech in real time and embedded in the agent. In future work, we experimentally investigate the effects of the proposed method on stress relief and agent impressions.
