Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Room-temperature phosphorescence (RTP) materials that are currently used in practice mainly include organometallic complexes containing heavy rare metals such as iridium (Ir) and platinum (Pt), which are concerned to be depleted in the future. Therefore, the development of heavy-atom-free (HAF) RPT materials is desired. By utilizing the thermally activated interconversion process between the excited triplet states as the key process, we have succeeded in developing a HAF luminescent materials that exhibits efficient room-temperature phosphorescence. In this talk, we will present the developed room temperature phosphorescent materials, including the development process of organic light-emitting materials so far.
