Abstract(in English) | Solution-processable inorganic materials with high-refractive index are of importance for various kinds of optical components such as dielectric mirrors. Poly(vinylidene fluoride), PVDF copolymer which is one of ferroelectric, and fluorine-based polymers exhibit both low refractive index at the optical frequency, and high permittivity at the low frequency for AC voltage-driven organic electroluminescent device (AC-OEL) operation. The large refractive index contrast between inorganic copper(I) thiocyanate, CuSCN and insulating polymer, PVDF copolymer results in the fabrication of inorganic-organic hybrid dielectric film mirrors with high reflectivity (> 90 %) from nanostructures. The narrowing of the EL spectrum is achieved from an all-solution-processed fluorene-type polymer electroluminescent devices with microcavity structure except for electrodes. We discuss the unique transient properties of AC-OELs with inorganic/organic hybrid dielectric mirrors using PVDF copolymer. |
