Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In the past, both in disaster and normal time, road conditions have been assessed by on-site technologies in which engineers go directly to the site for inspection. In recent years, in response to social problems such as a shortage of engineers due to the declining birthrate and aging population, and increasing costs, there has been a need for technology that enables remote, simple, and low-cost monitoring of road conditions during both disaster and normal time. In this study, we propose a system for surveying the direction of collapse utility poles and traffic volume by using IoT sensors, which are becoming increasingly popular. In this paper, as a technical verification of the traffic census in this system, we conducted an experiment using an acceleration sensor and a piezo sensor, and confirmed the effectiveness of the proposed technology so report it.
