| Abstract(in English) | This technical report addresses the system of lamp for palliative care and a experiment of examining its effectiveness. The lamp system consists of a lampshade, a pedestal, an Arduino, and a pulse sensor. It reflects users’ pulse fluctuation from pulse sensor. We study the effectiveness of mental and physical stress when someone gaze at the lamp which shows a biosignal as light. Nine subjects participated in the experiment. We compared a group which use the lamp system and a group which close their eyes, thus examined the effectiveness with psychological and physiological indices. Psychological indices are VAS (Visual Analog Scale) and STAI (State Trait Anxiety Inventory) and physiological indices are saliva amylase and pulse. In result, lamp system has no significant effectiveness of reducing stress and must be improved. |
