Abstract(in English) A bus type optical access network has been proposed to accommodate widely scattered users efficiently. Although the cost reduction can be expected when the optical amplifier is installed in the OLT side and is shared among users, OSNR of the pre-amplified upstream signal is decreased. Thus, we examined the application of low-noise distributed Raman amplification and the utilization of asymmetric optical power splitter for maximizing Raman gain. We clarify the optimal network configuration for the user distribution.
