Abstract(in Japanese) | (See Japanese page) |
Abstract(in English) | In the shadow theory, electromagnetic fields are expressed by using the scattering factors. We have proposed two applications of scattering factors. One is that the spectral-domain Green's functions are introduced directly using the scattering factors. The other is that the numerical accuracy is evaluated using scattering factors for a multilayered dielectric grating. In this paper, we formulate the matrix eigenvalues method using shadow theory and obtain scattering factors and Joule losses using Galerkin method. We calculate for an asymmetric multiple plane grating consisting of strip conductors and show that in the low grazing limit of incidence, the secondary fields of all orders and Joule losses in each grating approach zero. In addition, we demonstrate that the scattering factors have even symmetries for reflection and reflective symmetries for transmission. We conclude that the reciprocity holds for all complex incident angles including evanescent waves in the case of resistive plane gratings. |
