Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In today's information society, using computers is an indispensable part of modern life. It is very difficult, however, for physically disabled people who cannot dexterously manipulate their hands to operate touch-screen, mouse and keyboard. In this study, we used a capable of detecting hand gestures and a VRHMD with an eye tracking function to build a new user interface by adding a new controller-based gesture function that links the movements of eyes and the operations of hands. We also added a new function to reflect the current eye movements and hand motions to the 3D avatar in order to share the virtual space with other users via the Internet and to work together. We confirmed that this new function makes users easily understand each other’s condition.
