Abstract(in English) Temperature rise in human body is a dominant effect for exposure at frequencies higher than 100 kHz. In the international guidelines/standard, the specific absorption rate averaged over 10-g tissue (SAR10g) is used as a metric to prevent excessive surface temperature rise for local exposure at frequencies up to 6 GHz. Above 6 GHz, an area-averaged absorbed/epithelial power density (APD) is used. The 5th generation wireless communication systems may simultaneously use the frequency ranges above and below 6 GHz. This study evaluates the effect of superposition of SAR, APD, and resultant temperature rise for simultaneous exposures at different frequencies.
