Abstract(in English) Next-generation mobile communications (Beyond 5G/6G) have to meet diverse demands of users such as ultra-high speed, low latency, high reliability, massive access, and their combinations without compromise. Hence, it is essential to further exploit high-frequency bands, such as millimeter-wave (mmWave) bands, which enable reliable transmission at a high data rate with a massive number of users. However, these higher-frequency bands are susceptible to sudden and unpredictable obstruction by objects such as human bodies and vehicles, resulting in inherent instability. To overcome this difficulty, we recently proposed robust coordinated multi-point (CoMP) transmission using blockage prediction. This paper presents the results of our research and development on the proposed robust CoMP.
