Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Autonomous vehicles are demonstrating on real environments. However, humans monitor operation of autonomous vehicle and control if it is necessary due to difficult to realize fully automated driving. Since difficult to constantly watch all vehicles when one operator monitors multiple vehicles, there is a risk that the operator may no be noticed quickly for the scene which requires human operation. Therefore, we aim to improving such operations by alerting events to the operator in the case of one operator monitor multiple vehicles. In this research, we evaluated the effect of alerts when one operator monitors four autonomous vehicles by simulation. From the evaluation, we confirmed that alerts improves efficiency of autonomous vehicle monitoring.
