Abstract(in English) Terahertz waves, which lie between radio waves and light, are expected to be applied to the field of sensing by taking advantage of their penetrability and ultra-short pulses with broadband components. In the field of remote sensing, polarimetric synthetic aperture radar (POLSAR) has been used onboard satellites and aircrafts. In this report, we demonstrate the effectiveness of THz-POLSAR, a new measurement system that combines broadband sensing using terahertz pulses with POLSAR, in the observation of the interior of materials by using a target with structural changes covered with an acrylic plate and using a modified signal processing method.
