Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In the real world, there are various nonlinear rhythmic phenomena, many of which can be modeled mathematically as limit-cycle oscillators. The phase reduction method is effective for analyzing the synchronization of limit-cycle oscillators subjected to weak perturbation, and it has been extended to the phase-amplitude reduction method in recent years. In the phase and amplitude reduction method, the amplitude, which is a measure of the distance from the limit cycle, is newly introduced. The phase and amplitude functions are rarely obtained analytically, and much computational cost is required to evaluate them numerically. In this study, we propose a method for estimating phase and amplitude functions from time series data when the dynamical system is unknown. The effectiveness of this method is demonstrated by using several oscillators as examples.
