Verifying robustness of parameter space estimation against dynamical noise for predicting a critical transition of vegetation biomass

Abstract(in English) This paper verifies robustness of a parameter space estimation when the estimation method is applied to predict a critical transition of vegetation biomass. The critical transition is one of the bifurcation phenomena by changing parameter values. Therefore, the critical transition can be predicted by plotting a bifurcation diagram in the estimated parameter space for target system. In this method, time-series predictors are trained to model the dynamics attracted to a stable point with perturbed dynamical noise. This paper shows the results for verifying the robustness of the estimation method by changing variance of dynamical noise.
