Improved Adaptive Interference/Radio Resource Management for 5G Advanced Ultra-dense RAN

Abstract(in English) In order to solve an interference problem in multi-user MIMO (MU-MIMO) systems using distributed antennas, the authors have studied the adaptive interference and radio resource management. In our previous adaptive interference and radio resource management, for the inter-cluster interference mitigation, a large number of clusters in the BS-cell are divided into different layers and then, the transmission opportunity is given to each layer in a prescribed order. On the other hand, for the inter-cell interference mitigation, a cell-edge user layer is additionally formed and one fractional band is assigned to the cell-edge layer so that assigned fractional band is orthogonal to neighboring cell-edges. In this paper, we propose an improved adaptive interference and radio resource management with the aim of further enhanced mitigation of the interference. Exploiting the fact that there is no user in a center area of the cell-edge layer, cluster-edge users having strong inter-cluster interference even after layering are assigned to this layer to improve their quality. We evaluate the user capacity by computer simulation to show the effectiveness of the proposed improved adaptive interference and radio resource management.
