Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This study aimed to clarify the difference of mechanisms between frisson and ASMR focusing on in the way of listening to sounds. A pair of loudspeakers, a headphone, and a headphone with function of vibration were used to present the sounds which is expected to induce frisson and the sounds which is expected to induce ASMR. It was suggested that the difference in the way of listening to sounds has no effect on frisson, whereas ASMR is related to the pseudo-haptic experience through the sounds listened to by headphone. This study concluded that frisson is induced by cognitive mechanisms, whereas ASMR is induced by polymodal mechanisms.
