Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The effectiveness of learning by teaching, where learners deepen their learning by teaching other co-learners, is widely confirmed. Also, there has been much research on teachable agents, which support learning by having a computer play the role of a co-learner. To promote the use of such educational support technologies, however, it is necessary to both improve the educational effectiveness and reduce the cost of implementation. In this study, we propose TAME (Teachable Agent Modeling for Error-visualization) as a modeling method for teachable agents that applies error-visualization and constraint satisfaction problems to solve these two problems. In addition, as a case study using TAME, we developed and evaluated a teachable agent for supporting learning to problem-posing in arithmetic word problems.
